Oil Block Adapters were made to prevent unnecessary drilling in the vehicle oil pan for installation of an oil temperature sensor. Conventional methods of installing a temperature sensor gauge required draining the oil from the vehicle, removing the oil pan, drilling and tapping the oil pan to fit the temperature sensor.
